01 Why it matters
What you don’t see
Every time your ventilation or forced-air heating runs, the air in your home travels through the duct system before it comes back out of the vents. Over the years, that system holds on to what the air carries: household dust, pet hair, pollen, carpet fibres and construction residue. It settles in elbows, along horizontal runs and behind grilles, where no vacuum ever reaches.
That dust doesn't stay put. Changes in airflow loosen it and push it back into your rooms. The result: dust back on the furniture a few days after cleaning, a stale smell when the system starts, and heavier air for anyone with allergies.
Renovations deserve special attention. Sanding drywall, cutting wood or demolition produce a very fine dust that gets into the vents even when they were covered. Right after a renovation is often the best time to have the ducts cleaned.
02 Signs
Time for a cleaning?
- 01Dust around the vents or on the grilles
- 02Dust back on furniture soon after cleaning
- 03Allergy symptoms worse at home than elsewhere
- 04Stale or "hot dust" smell when the system starts
- 05Recent renovations, pets, or you just moved into a resale home
- 06Some rooms get noticeably less air than others
03 Our method
Four steps, every time.

Inspection
We look at the system first: ducts, access points, vents and problem areas. You know exactly what will be cleaned before we start.
Protection
Floors and vent areas are protected. Loosened dust stays in the ducts and in our equipment, not in your living room.
Cleaning
With our professional equipment, we dislodge and remove dust and debris from the entire accessible system: main trunk, branches and vents.
Check
Final inspection and airflow check. Before-and-after photos on request.

05 Questions
Air ducts: your questions
01How often should air ducts be cleaned?
Every 3 to 5 years for a typical home. With pets, allergies or after renovations, every 2 to 3 years.
02How long does duct cleaning take?
Usually 2 to 4 hours, depending on the size of the house and the number of vents.
03How much does air duct cleaning cost?
From $250 before tax. The dryer vent is cleaned free during the same visit.
04Will it make a mess?
No. We protect the floors and the area around each vent before we start, and we leave the place clean. If our team causes any damage, we repair it.
05My home has an air exchanger on the same ducts. Do I pay for both?
No. Duct cleaning already covers the air exchanger connected to the ducts: you won't be billed twice.
