What we see in the units here
Brossard has seen a lot of construction in recent years: new neighbourhoods near Quartier DIX30 and condo towers around the REM stations. In those units, the ductless mini-split is the air conditioning, and the outdoor unit often sits on a balcony, which makes it easy to include in the cleaning.
In Longueuil, Saint-Hubert and Greenfield Park, many post-war bungalows and duplexes are heated by baseboards; the wall-mounted heat pump in the living room carries the house through summer and the shoulder seasons. In Châteauguay, by the river and Lake Saint-Louis, humid summers keep coils wet and mould grows fast.

Protect and open
Wall and floor protected. We remove the front panel and filters of the indoor unit to reach the components.
Wash the indoor unit
Deep cleaning of the evaporator coil and fins, the drain pan and the drain line so water flows freely.
Blower wheel and anti-mould
The blower wheel is cleaned, then a specialized anti-mould and anti-bacterial product is applied.
Outdoor unit and check
The outdoor unit is cleaned, the unit is reassembled and we check that everything runs properly before we leave.

Yes, the outdoor unit is included in the price. Clear the space around it and we take care of the rest.
04How often should a mini-split be cleaned?
Once a year by a professional, ideally in spring before the hot season. Rinse the filters yourself about once a month while you use the unit.
05How much does mini-split cleaning cost?
$200 for the first unit and $150 for each additional unit, before tax: $350 for two, $500 for three.
